Everything We Know About Heated Rivalry Season 2
After a long summer filled with award shows, hosting gigs, and plenty of fashion moments, stars of Heated Rivalry, Corrie Storrie and Hudson Williams, have been spotted in Toronto. This is where they’ll be filming the highly anticipated second season of the hit show. Since Crave and HBO gave the green light for the sophomore season, fans (myself included!) have been eagerly counting down the days until Ilya (Storrie) and Shane (Williams) return to our screens.
What's the Plot of Heated Rivalry Season Two?
The burning question on everyone's mind: what will Heated Rivalry Season 2 be About? While specific plot details remain under wraps, author Rachel Reid released a related story – The Long Game, the sixth book in her Game Changer series. In a playful Instagram clip, Storrie even suggested fans read it to “spoil it for yourselves.” Here’s a brief summary of The Long Game:
“10 years. That’s how long Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov have been seeing each other. How long they’ve been keeping their relationship a secret. From friends, from family… from the league. If Shane wants to stay at the top of his game, what he and Ilya share has to remain secret. He loves Ilya, but what if going public ruins everything? Ilya is sick of secrets. Shane has gotten so good at hiding his feelings, sometimes Ilya questions if they even exist. The closeness, the intimacy, even the risk that would come with being open about their relationship… Ilya wants it all. It’s time for them to decide what’s most important – hockey or love. It’s time to make a call.”
Creator Jacob Tierney has revealed that Season 2 will be a tighter six episodes, meaning some of the rich source material will be cut or creatively adapted for the screen. Tierney also confirmed on the Loon Call podcast that a significant portion of the season will focus on Shane coming out to his teammates. “I’m going to have to do Shane coming out to his team,” he stated. “I can’t do that off screen… you have to see it. You have to experience it yourself… I knew as soon as I was going through the book and breaking it apart. I have these circled beats.”
Who is in the Cast of Heated Rivalry Season 2?
